Dear Friends,
When I first opened The Six String Café and Music Hall in
2001 I had two goals in mind. First, was to provide Six String patrons
the very best in original acoustic music in a relaxed, comfortable environment
complemented by a great selection of quality food and spirits. And second, was
to provide a warm, friendly listening room to both welcome rising stars and showcase
the most seasoned road warriors.
That being said, my role at the
new venue in Raleigh has recently changed. The other owners and I have
differing opinions on what The Six String Café is, and how it should evolve. So,
as unfortunate as it is, it became clear that it was time for me to part ways.
As
of February 19, 2010 I am no longer associated with the building
at 1040 Buck Jones Road or the operations within.
Regrettably, it
appears my soon-to-be former business partners may attempt to continue using the
Six String Café name and brand. I do not endorse this action and will do all
I can to prevent the unauthorized use of the Six String brand. Thankfully,
The Six String has and always will be more than just a name.
It's
supporters like you, together with the musicians, that have always been there
to help make the Six String Café a success. We all share a special connection to
each other and to the music that continues to bring us together. I thank you
for that continuing experience and for the encouragement and support you have given
me and The Six String over the years.
I still maintain the www.sixstringcafe.com
web site and will continue to share insights with regards to
the local music scene via the same email list I have maintained for nearly a decade.
If you don't currently receive the Six String newsletter you can sign
up for that here.
Thank you again for your substantial support. I do hope that we find
a way to keep in touch.
See you soon!
